Although my interests are wide and varied, my current work aims to reflect a Piscean, avid cold water swimmer with an intrinsic affinity with, and love of, water in all its’ moods and vagaries; from a tiny raindrop to the vastness of a turbulent ocean.
Powerful experiences during scuba diving in my earlier years have also embedded deep memories of life and movement beneath the surface. A ceiling of raindrops descending like musical notes into the deep is a wonder to behold and almost impossible to share.
Equally at home with collage, paint, print and textiles; I will use whichever media suits my need in the moment, often mixing several media in one piece.
Living on the edge of a small market town in Northamptonshire, most of my swims are in fresh water, but we visit Cornwall and Norfolk as often as we can; nothing beats sea swimming!
Coming back to my studio, memory fuels my ideas, the colour and movement feeding my soul and my work.
